Something that doesan't require too much concentration but is something to busy my hands with and is something useful (I used to make bracelets but I ran out of supplies...).

Well why dont you just get another hobby. its very easy to pick them up. Try painting or drawing or writing

Knitting is actually physically and mentally good for you, plus you can make tons of things, including scarves, beer cozies (don't ask me why, i just found it in my book) rags, sweaters, you name it.
