I'm swamped at work and I'm sooooo hungry. My head hurts and my hands are starting to shake. I need food!!!!!! Hopefully, I will get off soon. I should have been off almost 2 hours ago, since I'm only a part-time employee at this law office, but I came in later because of my dentist appointment. Sorry...just thought I should vent. What should I eat when I get off???

You should eat healty meal, skip fast-food. The worst thing is not to eat for a long time and than eat some grease-bomb (pizza, burger,...).
It would be good to go to work prepared. Bring some musli-candybars and vitamin juice with you every day so that you can have quick snacks now and then untill you can have normal meal. This way your body will have fuel and you will not get crazy at the evening when you finally get chance to eat. Evening is the worst time to eat a lot.

It's always nice to help! :o)

Keep some dried fruit and nuts on hand for times like this. I keep some in a tupperware container, and just a handful or so will go a long way.
When you get off work, eat whatever you want! You're too hungry right now and just need some food in your system.

Oh! It's too bad you don't keep anything with you. As soon as you can get some orange juice into your system to get your blood sugar back up. I keep fresh fruit (usually an apple because they keep well) and some nuts with me at work for days just like you are describing. This is not medical advice. I only know what I have to do when I get over-hungry and get shaky.

You need protein and sugar. Drink some OJ or have a candy bar before you eat anything else to get your blood sugar up. that could be why you're so shakey.

Then, protein. Peanut butter, eggs, beans, meat, etc.

Always carry a protein bar or a little granola bar in your purse so when you go without for awhile, you have a backup.
