because it can take up to 3 months for the virus to appear in the blood stream

Although newer tests do show results faster hiv also mutates. The new mutation would not register on the same test for 3 months. It is worth the wait not to gamble with life.

it is not really waiting you take one test if it is negative thy say wait because some peoples body take longer for the virus to show up any thing before 3 months it may not appear on the test called the window period that's why!

with the fourth generation test (antobody+antigen), 6 weeks is always enough
