Karaoke!!!! I worked for a company that rented a karaoke machine one year and it was a lot of fun. The kids had a blast with it and so did the people that had a little too much holiday cheer. All in all everyone had a great time either participating or watching.

White elephant party. Everyone brings something gag gift under a certain price. Each person draw a number. The 1st takes a gift and opens it. Then the second has a choice to take the gift that the one choose or choose a new one. If they chose the one's gift then they get the new one. At the end, the person who drew the 1st number can either keep their gift or take any of the others and if they take that person that person gets the 1st persons gift.
We have done this for years and it is halarious. You see some of the years priors gifts fought over etc.

I wouldn't try to plan too much besides a gift exchange. I think there are still plenty of people out there who would be afraid to party with their co-workers in the same way they would party with friends and family, so trying to organize a carol sing-along or Pin the Hat on the Santa would probably end up being less fruitful than desired.

The coolest twist I've ever seen on a gift exchange is to have everybody bring something for THEMSELVES. You then place all the gifts under the tree, grab one at random (that isn't yours!), and then try to guess whose gift you have. It's just as much fun, and then you're guaranteed to get a gift you like, since you picked it out!

Dave & Busters. This accomodates adult employees with kids if they want/have to bring them. They have a variety of meal packages they cater for the room they rent out, which includes the game cards. It's a nice enough atmosphere thats "loose" enough that people can come & go at will, and not be forced to just sit or be confined to one area all at once.

Watch some episodes of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" on ABC Family (10:00 p.m. weeknights). Great show, simple humor...

Then, come up with game ideas there and at the link below (lots of the game details, ideas, etc.).

Let's people perform, short runs on stage, can be moderated...

Great time!
