Uh, unfortunately a lot of meat eaters didn't realise this question was posted in the Vegetarian section.... I don't miss it at all. I've actually only had one piece of fish in my entire life and it was a horrible experience. As for chicken etc., sure it was hard at first (I became a vegetarian when I was 11) but after a while the smell and thought of it actually repulses you. Take white bread and whole wheat bread, if you switch to whole wheat after a while the white stuff will look and taste like styrofoam. Also, nowadays we have very good meat substitutions. Despite the stereotypes, there are a lot of good products out there that taste very much like the real thing. There's always controversy like "why eat something that tastes, looks and smells like meat?" but they're never 100% exactly the same and you associate the taste with the ingredients which are not meat-based. When I first bit into a veggie hot dog I was almost sick and had to keep reading the ingredients to make sure there was no meat in it. After a while I began to appreciate the taste according what it really is.

I don't know about pan-fried rainbow trout, but I sure do miss fried chicken. My grandma made the best fried chicken.

Don't miss it at all.
If you ever do, run down to your local health shop and buy some vegetarian chicken or fish or whatever. If you struggle to find it, try China Town, the chinese are great at producing fake meat. It tastes the same without the unnecessary killing.

No, don't really miss it at all. There are so many alternatives out there. If you eat a variety of different foods (meat and dairy alternatives) along with grains, fruits and veggies....then you really don't miss that stuff.
