My parents own a Chinese restuarant and we are the only one in town. I can tell you some Chinese/Japanese people eat cats and dogs but not all. My family does not. I KNOW we don't lol. That's why I'm so afraid of eating at other Chinese restaurants. The food and seasoning may be great. When I eat, I wanna know what I'm eating! I've been eating it for 17 yrs but im not tired of it! there are so many combinations and dishes, its endless and hard to get tired of!

Well it is a fact that some far eastern Asians do eat cats and dogs - I could say more but not going too. I met an Asian nurse in an hospital one time and she told me they eat it over there and it was common. It's not because they are poor too. (yes, I agree some maybe be, but it is common for many to eat them) I have also seen many documentaries on some of these countries and they showed some things too :o. I repulse at the thought! However, they have many, many other excellent veggies recipes too which are very nice .

Chinese food is very healthy because most dishes have vegies.
No Chinese restaurant in the US have cats/dogs. You need to get your facts straight. People in Navy tells lots of untrue stories to stay awake.
You sound so negative. Be more open-minded and cheer up.

Chinese food consists just about everything you can think of and all the different cooking methods so there is bound to be something that you like. It is one of the oldest civilisations in the world. For it to survive so long, the food must be good. It's especially special in your heart otherwise you would not have wanted to know the answer so badly.

Well that's your choice. I for one love chinese food and think there are so many choices for you to have. All food smells of something.
In some parts of China they do eat cats and dogs and have been doing for a long time.

Each to his own taste. I love authentic Chinese food because it is beautifully prepared and ranges from the mild (Cantonese) to the "your tonsils have just exploded" spicy (Szchewan or Hunan.)
Chinese cuisine uses almost every meat, fruit, and veggie that you can think of, and the possibilities are endless. It's healthy when prepared without the MSG, and it's filling without being heavy.
What's not to love about food that's healthy, attractive, nutritiously well-balanced, and just plain fun to eat?

Well, everyone's got their own taste, honey. I love Chinese Food, and i dont think it stinks. Maybe, you only 'think it stinks' and never eat it at all... Someday...try chinese noodles with meatball and crab and corn soup. Served hot. That's my favorite chinese food... :-)

perhaps you are uneducated. In the most poor parts of the orient, yes they do eat cat and dog. ITS BECAUSE THEY ARE POOR. Youll be suprised what man will do to survive. Ever heard of Easter Island? ............ The chinese they serve here in america is not the food they would eat. they have to westernize it for you pampered americans.

well american chineese food is yummy. they dont use cats or dogs in america. ive always heard of them eating them over in china, but i really dont beleive it myself, but then again what do i know?? haha.....but i love chineese food. you get sick of the same old american food everyday. so eating chineese gives you a break from the origional foods. chineese food has a distinct taste to it that is unique and very good. i guess for most people it is an aquired taste.
