Studies seem to prove that a vegan lifestyle is less healthy unless you supplement Vitamine B12, and carefully design your menu to contain zinc (pumpkin seeds, chick peas) and iron (chick peas, spinach). Then it is healthier. If you want the benefits of Omega 3 fatty acids, like in fish oil, there is an alternative. Flax seed oil. Use it as a dressing, because heating it will distroy the Omega 3.

I am vegetarian, however I suppose Vegan would be healthier. You should always regulate any diet, otherwise off course it would be unhealthy. Drink soy milk for the protein, calcium etc.
You definitely don't need fish oil- buy flax seed oil instead. It's a much better source of Omega 3. Actually consider getting an Omega 3-6-9 source. You can get a really good one in liquid form. This is actually a much better way compared to capsules. Omega's are quite heat and light sensitive..so buy a bottle, take it home and store it in the fridge.

It depends on how far you are willing to go with eating different foods. Both can be healthy but you have to eat a variety of foods for both that make up for the nutrients that you are missing. It probably would be easier for you to go vegetarian, because then you can eat alot of foods that other people are eating. Fish oil would be good if you are doing this for nutrition, but if you are serious about being a vegetarian/vegan you shouldn't eat fish either.

If you add fish or fish products to a vegetarian diet, technically that would be a pesco-vegetarian diet. And it most certainly would not be a vegan one.
As for which one is healthier, both can be perfectly healthy diets from what I've read. However, vegans in particular really need to watch certain nutrients and usually have to take supplements to stay healthy.

No need to take fish oil the best vegetable food which outstand even fish oil is here the scientific name is alternanthera sessilis and the telugu name is ponnaganti kura. This leafy vegetable would give you double the amount of benifits of a fish oil and is fully vegetarian.

Where do you people get this stuff? The only things you can't get from plants that you can get from animal products is cholesterol and animal fat. (obviously alot of other chemicals and hormones as well and B12 but thats has to do with processing it was in plants to begin with.) Your absolutely right a junk food vegan is going to be no more healthy then a omnivore and possibly even less healthy. But someone who eats a whole food plant based diet, which would mean eliminating most if not all refined and processed foods, and staying clear of animal products. Are for a fact, and there is science to back this up, more healthy, have less or possibly non existent risk of heart disease, stroke, and the common cancers of breast, colon, skin, and prostate. Not to mention much lower risk for osteoporosis, and diseases such as Alzheimer's.

yes fish are sooo good and they are soo great for your diet ( even more if your woman)..... the most healthful diet is the one where you dont have to stop eating the most important meals... and where you exercise yourself and keep yourself fit....
obviosly you gotta stop eatin too much bread, pasta, things like this that can get you fat easily.. nevemind about fast food or junk food. .... think this way; when you pass by Mc donalds or any fast food place, take yourself to the supermarkert and buy yogurt or any thing that you know it wont get you fat (fruits for exampe)...
those places just make yourself go-right-there cuz beacuse the $$ cheap prices and easily way to get it, wakes up your appetite....
Good luck and keep up perseverence, its the best way to lose weight...
