Unfortunately they will not pay for that my dear. I have MS and had asked them if they would pay for the bracelet and they said Medicaid does not pay for that as it is not a prescription. Sorry to hear about your son, I hope he will be okay. I had to order an id bracelet through the mail and it cost me $30.00 for a silver/metal bracelet, the gold cost more. If you have a local supermarker that has a pharmacy, they should have some of those placecards with the bracelets/neclases on display for you to take home. Good luck.

That is a great question. (although we are not on medicare)
My young son also has severe Asthma and I actually have never thought about getting him a medical ID tag. Now that he is getting older and out playing with friends and going on field trips at school and doing more without me around, this would be a super idea.
Some of your local drug stores might sell generic ID tags fairly inexpensively though. (the most common medical problems) I may run up to Walgreens and Wal-mart pharmacy later today and check that out.

The best way to find out would be to ask your case worker.
