The answer to this is that if you make your own veggie patty it will be healthier then buying it outside of home this is because when your manufacturing a product,you use the cheapest ingredients. Veggie patties in most places are greasy and don't have a lot of the nutrients you would hope it would.. Remember a production company wants to purchase and produce products cheaper then what a consumer would pay for the product. Make your own go onto the interent and find out how.

If you make it yourself at home it can be, there's plenty of good veggie recipes on the net. The prepacked ones from the Supermarket may be just as unhealthy as any other non veggie burger.

Depends what's in it and what brand it is. I love Amy's Texas BBQ veggie burgers.

Offcourse if you make it yourself in a healthy manner??
Grill the veggie pattie, use wholeweat bread, add a slice of tomato and salad and voila! How can it not be healthy?

Compared to a meat buger it is definatley more healthy, but when compared to other meals containing fresh and raw vegetables it becomes less healthy.

I think they are probably better for you than beef burgers as they have veggie fat rather than fat from dead cow/pig/horse/dog/cat/rat in them.

I eat them all the time and they have far less fat then a regular hamburger. I toast the roll and add tomato, lettuce and a slice of red onion. Add a slice of low fat cheese if you like that.

provided its grilled yes veggie = vegtables maybe the bun or other toppings would make it un healthy
