I always wonder whether the seeds in a tomato is good to eat like in salads, or just by itself

i dont think it matters.. i've always eaten tomato with seeds on them

You can gently squeeze the seeds out (and discard them) before chopping a tomato for a salad - to reduce wetness... otherwise, cut them into wedges if you want tomato in your salad.

My doctor told me it can create kidney stones and hence advised me to eat the skin and flesh but throw the seeds away

Just don't cook tomatoes with their seeds. You'll have a bitter aftertaste.

Yes they are edible but all seeds can cause indigestion so if you get indigestion it is best to remove them.

yes they are very good lot's of fibre....and fibre is always good to keep things moving!!!
