Does anyone know where I can find them in the Charlotte or Albemarle, North Carolina area?

Yes they are Japanese product. You can look for a Japanese market in your area. (phone books or internet directory) They should carry them. (they have regular ones and Tofu shirataki noodles!) Sometimes you might be able to find in Chinese market too!

At your Asian markets..
They are a Tofu Based noodle they are in the fridge section with the tofu. Come in little 8oz. bags & run about $1.50

If there aren't any Asian marketplaces/stores around you, you can try a exotic food market. Trader Joe's is pretty good at housing what you need.

These are mostly sold in the oriental section of the store. If you can't find them there, then try oriental or asia shops/stores.
