Hey, I pretty much always have cooked lentils, chickpeas, black beans, etc in my freezer. They last forever, and it's great having them cooked and ready to use in a recipe. Also, bean soups and stews freeze wonderfully, then you just have to heat and eat! Besides in stews, I've used my frozen/thawed chickpeas & lentils in breads, veggie patties, etc. Oh, and cooked grains can be frozen as well... brown rice / wild rice, millet, barley, quinoa...

freezing them would be the best option however lentils should be consumed once they have been cooked.
Storing them for 2-3 days is alrite but for weeks it is not very good. Storing it for weeks wont affect the taste, but certain bacteria develop which you will never be aware of and might harm in digestion.
Other wise there is no problem

you have numerous stable solutions. i'm going to offer you yet another perspective. I extremely have numerous pyrex bowls the comparable small soup bowl length. i'm going to make a lentil soup with ham hocks, or a beef stew, then freeze it in one day interior the pyrex bowls. Then I run heat water over the bowl (the different way up) and the hemisphere of frozen stew pops out into my hand. Then I wrap it in plastic wrap, and placed it back interior the freezer (with a dated label). while i want to eat one, it suits completely into the bowl, and into the microwave it is going. trouble-free to keep, flat facet to flat facet, you have little spheres of wrapped meals interior the freezer. stored at 0, they could desire to be stable for months and months. this technique works properly for this busy single. stable luck.
