If you are staying within your dietary restrictions, then stick with milk, cheeses meats and beans. If you are looking for increased protein above your daily requirements then I would suggest you go to a health food store and task for a powdered protein supplement. You can sprinkle it in a drink or mix it with yogurt, pudding what ever you like. It has no significant extra calories but is a huge boost inthe protein intake. I don't know why you want to increase protein, but if it for faster wound healing add vitamins C,E and zinc to your diet. If it is for weight gain you might want to pick up a liquid supplement like Choice DM or Glucerna, which also have fat in them. But watch the calorie count.

Good luck

All meat, poultry and fish are protein foods, no carbs. The leanest cuts are best for diabetics (and everyone else!) Salmon and Tuna (fresh or packed in water) are good sources for fish. Nuts, beans/legumes (very good and contain great fiber), milk, cheese and yogurt (great for diabetics who are prone to yeast infections) are good protein sources, they contain carbs, choose low fat and sugar when possible. Eggs are also a good source of protein but higher in cholesterol, especially the yolks, so should be eaten in moderation and with your doctors approval.

Boneless chicken breast is tasty and very healthy for you when you broil it in the oven with lemon juice, salt, pepper, and seasonings to your liking.
This is very high in protein!

Also, fish is very high in protein.

Good Luck!
