You should invite like 30% more people. I mean instead of inviting 20 invite 26, this way if some of them don't show up you'll still have enough guests. It's better to find extra space than to have an "semi-empty" room. Anyway be sure to confirm people the day before and some hours before the party.

Five extroverts are as good as twenty introverts for a party. Just be sure that some of the people you invite are the noisy type.

make sure there are lots of things to do to keep everyone who did show up occupied. don't ruin every ones night.
