For those of you still living on Planet x or have been in the pen the last ten years, and don't know what Chem (chemical) trails (not to be confused with con trails, which are far shorter in distance and short lived) are, just do a short list Google search before answering. You'll be brought up to speed and into the 21st century in no time.
For the same reason, you might want to do a Google on Depleted Uranium as well.

Not conforting to Iraq people or US soldiers stationed there - over 10,000 Gulf War veterans have died (certainly not of old age) since 1991 war ended. Many, as a result of exposure to Depleted Uranium. Their offspring has suffered as well with many birth defects as a result. Fear not "our government is here to protect you"......Bush admin. current budget CUT 848 million from Veteran Health Care. Plus an additional $15 BILLION over next 10 years (1.5 Billion per year) from veteran Health care departmt. and WILL NOT admit that Iranium poison even exist!!!!

Given the answers read herein, it would appear that we soldiers have a bad case NEED to "wake up and smell the coffee". Hundreds, if not thousands of good patriotic fellow ex-marines, army and navy core are holding the line against the disinformation crowd that many of you still unknowingly and perhaps unwittingly subscribe to.

Here's what fellow soldiers and the holders of the Silver Star and the Purple heart wearers are broadcasting before the world in a medium not supported by the neocons trying to destroy our Constitution and our way of life here in American, but by those who donate their hard earned dollars because they believe in the American Republic, for which it stands, ONE NATION UNDER GOD, WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL!! After reading this article, those calling themselves patriotic, may want to made this page part of their favorites and visit here two or three times a day, because this news is current and lively. http://www.vheadline.com/readnews.asp?id=67118

As you say, neither.

But if I was forced for some inane reason to choose one or the other, I'd go for the chemtrails.

Nothing can be as horrible as the effects of DU.
As for Greywolf, who thinks that the government produces truthful information, I challenge you to rub your hands in the dust after a DU explosion. Then we'll see if you REALLY believe what you write. Watch this video!! and have a read

I'm in Iraq, and am an Army Officer.

1) Your statements are not factual; and your political motivation causes one to question your objectivity
2) You obviously know very little about DU or Chem Trails (which are not a threat)
3) It is the psychos who are shooting at us that concern me most.

I think chem trails.

I thought Art Bell wasn't on the air anymore. You silly people and your delusional conspiracy theories. Have to admit Art was responsible for many funny, funny nights. He wasn't actually serious was he? It's amazing how the kooks come out at night.

I'll have to look into the Veterans budget...won't take long.

oh...and 10,000 soldiers may have died since 1991, but it wasn't from DU.

In response to the first part of your question:

No soldier (in Iraq or any other theater of operations for that matter) wants to be exposed to any form of NBC (Nuclear, Biological and Chemical) Warfare Agent - they all suck.

As for your claims about depleted Uranium, I would suggest that before you accuse the government of killing it's own troops, it would be a very prudent move to educate ones self on the effects of active Uranium and depleted Uranium on the human body and compare them with actual medical records of the soldiers who have apparently died from "Gulf War Syndrome". There is no doubt that many of the soldiers who were deployed on operations in the Persian Gulf in 1990-91 have died from strange medical conditions - the exact cause of which have not yet been identified. It is known that Saddam Hussein used chemical weapons on his own people in 1985 and that he may have used the same against coalition troops in 1990-91. There is little if any evidence however, to support the fact that our troops were exposed to any agent by our own governments that would kill significant numbers of our own personnel.

The very fact that active military personnel on deployment to AO's where the use of NBC Warfare Agents is suspected, are issued with NBC detector equipment such as detector paper (similar to Litmus paper), residual vapor detectors, and various other forms of detector and alarm apparatus and the protective equipment to prevent injury from the use of such agents, would suggest that any soldier dying as a result of any form of NBC agent was negligent in his duty by not noticing the effects as per the chemical safety rule (a rule which ALL military personnel are familiar with) and by not adopting the correct protective drills that all military personnel are trained in.

The fact of the matter is that there are many "conspiracy theories" in existence that blame our own leaders for deaths that occurred as a result of participation in combat. Whilst very sad, the fact remains that in war, people die. It is a far better move to support our troops and their commanders and let them get on with the job of protecting our way of life. Our soldiers are willing volunteers, they are not 'Press-ganged" into joining the military nor are they coerced in any other fashion. If you need to understand better why we do what we do so willingly, then I suggest you read the essay "Sheep, Sheepdogs and Wolves" written by LTC Dave Grossman - it can be found by entering "Sheep, Sheepdogs and Wolves" into your search engine.

As for the mysterious deaths labeled as "Gulf War Syndrome", I would humbly suggest that you leave the investigation to the experts. The deaths that have been collectively headlined under this "syndrome" are differing in many ways. Very few of the victims have had the exact same symptoms - all of the victims were of differing genetic composition, thus the exact cause of the symptoms that led to their deaths is very difficult to pinpoint - the truth will eventually emerge. Blaming one particular agent such as depleted Uranium however, is not a sound theory since if exposed to such an agent, EVERY soldier who came into contact with it would have died of similar causes. As an end note: Depleted Uranium is not used because of any radiological properties, it is used because of it's weight - the metal is extremely heavy and as such, lends better effect to the munitions that it is used in namely the Armor Piercing Kinetic Energy Round - an anti armor round used by tanks to defeat the armor on enemy fighting vehicles and armored troop carriers. The weight of the round allows for more energy to be released against the target on impact thus destroying it more efficiently.

Oh, please people, depleted uranium is used in a few warheads and is exactly that: DEPLETED. It is not radioactive or poisonous. It is extremely dense and detonates like nitroglycerin but white hot.
