i heard from my brother that it was, and have been very curious ever since. i have been vegan for close to a year now. and no one knows if it is or not. please let me know.

the reason i wonder is because, the bag of cheese just sits in the dispensing machine for a long time. and if it had some sort of dairy in it then it would spoil. so it makes me think that it has to have no dairy in it. maybe

It is DEFINITLY not vegan. It is full of animal fat from cows.
The only cheese that would be acceptable in a vegan diet would be a non dairy cheese.

You'll probably have to make your own. I would think that would be easy enough.

Good luck. I hope you can find what you're looking for.
If you live in a large city, it shouldn't be hard to find a grocery store that caters to vegans. They SHOULD carry it.

I would look in the yellow pages and also search the web for grocers that sell food for vegans.

Again, good luck. You should be able to find it or at the very least, make it yourself.

Vegan, huh? Very impressive.

Well, I just went to the 7/11 website and although they had some information on the hot dogs, there was nothing about the nachos or cheese. But my guess is that it is NOT vegan. The cheese they use is kinda like the cheese in the can. Plus vegan cheese would be MUCH more expensive to produce and so the nachos wouldn't be $2, they would be closer to four or five dollars.

Here is the 7/11 Contact Information. You can call someone and they will be able to tell you if the cheese is vegan or not.

Hmm. I couldn't find the ingredients for the 7-eleven variety, but as for Taco Bell Nacho cheese (which I feel is similar, some may disagree) you have the following:

Nacho Cheese Sauce *
Cheese Whey, Skim Milk, Partially Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Modified Food Starch, Cheese (Milk, Cultures, Salt And Enzymes), Water, Sodium Phosphate, Sodium Caseinate, Acetic Acid, Citric Acid, Natural And Artificial Flavor, Jalapeno Peppers, Salt, Annatto Extract, Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate, Calcium Chloride, Mono & Diglycerides, Carotene Color, Paprika Oleoresin.

Since you have milk in this recipe, it seems likely that the 7-eleven variety is also made with milk. Hope that helps.

Here is a recipe for vegan nacho cheese if you are interested.

No.... it wouldn't even be considered vegetarian. Processed cheeses are made using rennet which is from a cow's stomach. A lot of the soft cheeses aren't (like cottage, cream etc.) however. It sucks when you can't eat something, but try picking up some soy nacho cheese and treating yourself - it's a lot of work being a vegetarian, but even more being a vegan, so it helps to have "normal" foods every now and then. Vegan Gourmet is a good brand - it melts and tastes pretty genuine.

And btw, cheese is fermented milk products anyway, a lot of people actually don't refrigerate theirs. Processed cheeses have edible plastic and other ingred's that keep it from spoiling too.

Here's another page with vegan substitutions - if you've got a craving for cream cheese, try the "Better than cream cheese" brand. It's excellent!

yes. and let me tell you, i CRAVED 7 eleven nachos the first two months i was pregnant.... Eating stuff like nachos or ice cream, while not healthy, is not bad for the baby either. She needs to make sure she gets enough nutrients but if she's craving nachos right now then lord knows you better get that girl some nachos.

There is no one single Paleo Diet, as our ancestors from all over the world ate dramatically different diets depending on the climate where they lived, their landscape, accessibility to water bodies, and the latitude that they lived. This is a detailed meal plan for the paleo diet https://tr.im/PnB9O

In some cases, a Paleo Diet may be 90% plant foods and 10% animal foods, and in other cases, a Paleo Diet may be 90% animal foods and 10% plant foods.

For example, our ancestors that lived near the equator had year long access to more plant materials such as root vegetables and various fruits, veggies, and nuts.

On the other hand, our ancestors that lived at higher latitudes further away from the equator only had access to fruits and vegetables seasonally at one specific time period per year, and had larger periods of the year where they ate a higher % of meats, organ meats, fish, and other animal-based foods, or fermented foods that could be stored for winter.

probably not. Even the word "cheese" is not vegan...that stuff tastes pretty similar to the tostitos dip, so I would look at the ingredients on the tostitos jar. But I'm pretty sure it contains some sort of milk product.

There is no such thing as vegan cheese. You may be able to find some vegan cheese substitutes depending on where you live.

if you ask the 7-11 clerk what the ingredients are in that "cheese" I am sure they would have it written down somewhere, people have the right to know what is in the food they buy, so they must have a record of it.

Odds are you're eating too fast. Try holding a conversation while using a meal so you're definitely not gulping down more than you have to feel full.
