THERE ARE 2 KINDS OF KETCHUP, ONE SAYS REFRIGERATE OTHER ONE DOESN'T .I ALWAYS BUY THE ONE THAT DOESN'T REFRIGERATE AND USE IT UNTIL IS GONE. IT HAS NEVER TURNED BAD IN 40 YRS I'VE DONE THIS. IF THE LABELS DO NOT SAY REFRIGERATE THEN DON'T WHO WANTS A HOT DOG WITH COLD KETCHUP? NOT ME!

The acidity of the tomatoes, plus the vinegar should keep it fresh for a very long time. My bottle of ketchup says best if used by 2008. That's at least two years. I would hope that you would have used it up before then. If not, quit buying ketchup! You don't need it!

Depends upon the ketchup and the preservatives that are in it. Have you looked to see if there's an expiration date on the bottle?

If it's been refrigerated, quite some time. I've kept my bottle in the fridge for up to a year and it was fine.
