get plenty of rest until then. also drink plenty of fluids. a hot totty would help that is tea w/ lemon and brandy. lemons in anything with honey. soups. mainly broth. chicken broth is best for all. you really need lots of fluids so that you can get rid of that inside your lungs. i have battled with bronchittis even when i was born i had it, but it went into pnuemonia. and if you dont drink plenty of fluids and rest you can also. good luck

You need to get some antibiotics and cough syrup. If you get them immediately even if you have to go to the emergency room to do it you should be well enough(not cured) in 2-3 days. You will still need to take the rest of the prescriptions for it to go away completely but that is the only thing. Bronchitis only gets worse and can turn into walking pneumonia if you arent treated.
Good luck. I get 3 ent's a year and bronchitis 2x a year like clockwork. It is no fun.

You could have it pretty much cleared up by then if you get a Z Pack from the doc and use an inhalant to help clear out the lungs. No problem. I just had to go thru this too. Not the band but bronchitis.

Oh yuck! I've had bronchitis before, and that's no fun!
You may need a temp for your band.
Drink lots of fluids (fruit juice, tea, bouillon, hot lemon and honey, and water). Eat soup- especially chicken noodle. Take garlic tablets and extra vitamin C. Use zinc lozenges. Use Nytol. Rest a lot.
And make sure you're fully recovered before you go back and start playing again: Relapses are often worse than the original condition.
Good luck!

Been there and done this one, if you haven't been to the doc get there and get on antibiotics and take them as directed. Then you can rest, your body as well as your voice.
Water, water, water everywhere keep drinking! You need to drink enough water that your urine is straw colored to clear. This will help thin the crud in your chest and keep your vocal chords moist,(It is a good idea to keep this up after you recover, a voice coach started me drinking lots of water.)
Mucinex, vitamin C, Grethers logenzes are all good ideas. But antibiotics, rest, voice rest and water are your best friends. Good luck, a week should be enough time to heal if you get on medication right away and get off of your feet.

Take it easy until then. Take your meds/breathing treatments as the Dr. prescribed. If you smoke....stop it! A week should be plenty enough time to recuperate enough to participate in your recording. Hope you feel better.

heavy-duty antibiotics. You will probably make it worse, but perhaps you will have time to rest your voice, and your lungs. If you don't even the antibiotics won't help you.
