With a girl i've known a little bit for the past year or so. Not to familiar with her sexual background, but I did use a condom and it did not break. I'm worried of my chances of having HIV or herpes... Someone help me sleep tonight

Well, If you used a condom, I'd say the chances are pretty slim, but always a possiblity.

You should ask her if you're really concerned about her past...

well if you wore a condom then you should be fine....question though?? did you perform oral sex on her?? if so there is still a possiblity of getting an STD orally but it is FAR not as likely as the other way.......you didnt notice any sores or anything did you?? herpes outbreaks have sores that look GROSS!! if you saw one you wouldnt touch her Im sure. good luck &if your worried Id get tested

Having sex with anyone can be risky now a days. This is why it is so important to use protection and you did, bravo. However having sex means also taking responsibility for your health. Take care of yourself by having a STD check every 6 months to make sure you are always aware of your status--just my opinion.

Don't be afraid if you didn't had the rubber broken. Even if you feel otherwise then go for check after 3 months. (HIV virus would not get detected before 3 months)

Safe sex is better than no sex! If you feel fine after a few days (no burning, rash, etc) you should be fine. If you are truly concerned, get check by a physician.
