We usually cook our baked potatoes in our microwave on the "baked potato" setting. This keeps our electric and gas bill down. If you have no microwave, bake the potatoes (4 at a time) on a sheet of aluminum foil at 350 F for 45 minutes. This will cook the inner portion delicately soft and the peel crunchy.

Microwaving is just as good. After we microwave the potatoes, we will cut them open and add lovely toppings. Bill will add his sour cream and real bacon bits, I will add my vegan cheese and soy bacon bits...yummy, yummy! Good luck with your potatoes! They are a good source of vitamins and are a wonderful addition to any vegan diet!

400 degrees for one hour. Lots of deeeee-lishous butter and sour cream; don't forget the cheddar and bacos! MMMMMM!!! You could even add beef drippings or gravy. Sidle that puppy up next to a 1 1/2 inch slab of nice, rare prime rib and you'll be in paradise! Awwwwwww, yeah!!!

350 degrees F has always worked for us.
Try putting the spud(s) in a glass bowl with a few drops of water, cover tightly and microwave for 10 minutes per, give or take the size of your spud(s) and your microwave's power.
(Keeps the kitchen cooler on those hot Summer nights)
