I live in Switzerland, the farming practices are the best in the world. Chickens have to have a certain amount of free space by law, they aren't allowed to be in cages like in the US. There is also no point in having ''organic'' meat or produce because thats how they grow it anyway, not necessarily by law, but because the swiss won't eat it otherwise. There is much to be learned in the US from farming practices here. I don't think people realize how much better it is for everyone and the animals. I just don't understand people who don't bat an eye at paying extra for brand name jeans or shoes or cars, but won't endorse the extra few cents per pound of chicken or beef to ensure that they live humanely, and don't make us sick.

I am not a vegg anything but still i do think that it is helpful to brutally hurt these creatures just because they are going to die anyway. we should treat all things with respect.
