Are they all champagne drinkers and is it only for the toast? With my catering experience I figure that for a toast, you will serve, roughly, 5 guests per bottle. That's about 6 bottles. You will just have to plan accordingly if everyone likes the bubbly!!! GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!

Well it depends on the bottle size. The average bottle of champagne will give you 6 champagne flutes. So if you have 28 people that means you'll need 5 bottles of champagne.

The link below is what I used to help plan for a friends wedding hope it helps.

relies upon on the dimensions of the flutes. With a bottle at 75ml, you will get 6 125ml glasses (that being the familiar length of a tumbler of champagne in a bar) yet 5 glasses a bottle is a stable rule of thumb. (I drink far too lots champagne for my own stable and so I extremely have been able to purpose this out).

Get 6, a half case. The flutes are only half-filled anyway. So really, the guests are only having 2 oz. of champagne. If there are leftovers, take it home, or give it to the bride and groom.

The rule when serving champagne or wine is to buy half a bottle for each guest.

I have worked banquets B4, so let me tell you that if you are just toasting, then fiqure about 4.5 glasses per bottle. 7 bottles will be plenty, 8 if you want a little extra.

You should get approximately 5 glasses of champagne from each bottle. So to be safe, you should order 7 bottles ( 35 glasses) so everybody gets one full glass. This is assuming you only plan to have one glass.

Less than you think....many people will merely take a sip...in response to the toasts. You might even consider "sparkling ciders" as a non-alcoholic alternative for some....???
