I chop a jar full and keep it in the fridge, you can mash it in the blender. Some people add a little olive oil to it, but if you do it weekly and keep in jar in fridge, it should be okay. Another alternative, is to buy from the store- they are available in jars now.

If you don't want to buy it chopped, you can use a garlic press, of course this will not take care of 30 cloves at once.

You could use a food processor and pulse it, but I think it tends to be more bitter due to bruising.

A fast way to chop garlic by hand is to mash the garlic with the side of a chef knife then quickly run the blade through the pile a few times.

You can store garlic in the fridge in olive oil for quite a while once chopped.

As a side note, rubbing your hands on stainless steal after chopping gets rid of a lot of the smell.

I know, chopping Garlic is a pain. I just chopped about ten garlic cloves for a pasta dish I jst fnshed making.

The minced garlic is cool, but I swiched to fresh garlic a long time ago.
I would like to invest in a crusher, but it just seems like some of the juices would remain in the crusher.

Theres just nothing like fresh garlic.
If you cut it and it sits it doesnt preserve like when its fresh.

When I start to feel sick, I cut a garlic clove in about 4-5 pieces and swallow it raw with a big glass of water before bed two days in a 1 week period, and then no more cause its so strong.
Sometimes I let it sit for ten minutes frst so it doesnt burn my stomach.
So that tells me in jst ten minutes it already is losing its goodies.

Its better to use right away.
The good thing is that the cloves are a lot bigger nowadays, making them easier to handle.

The downfall is, I heard the smaller ones hold the most nutrients.: )

I buy it pre-chopped in a jar. Refrigerate after opening and it keeps a long time.

It keeps better if you don't cut it. Get a garlic crusher: A little peeling and one squeeze & you're done.

Um, you do know it comes in jars right?
I'm thinking you could probably fill a jar just like those nice folks can. If you really tried and had parental supervision.
