Usually genital herpes are quite large, almost like cystic acne. They are usually red, large, very itchy and can sometimes puss a clearish liquid. Then the sores can scab over and heal. A person with their first genital herpes outbreak is usually in A LOT of pain.
When I had my first outbreak I was in so much pain my doctor prescribed me Vicodin. I had to take two days off of work because I could hardly walk and even sit down.
Small, flesh colored bumps are usually genital warts. These can also be very itchy, but do not puss at all.
It sounds like you should see a doctor as soon as you can. You might just be having some sort of a rash or an allergic reaction, but it could also be something more serious like genital herpes or HPV (genital warts). Good luck to you!

Sounds like it. But you'd need to have a Doc check it out to find out for sure. There's a blood test that can be done also to see if you've got raised titres that would tell if you had contracted it. There are oral drugs that can suppress outbreaks, shorten ones and also creams that can be applied to lessen the discomfort. Unfortunately there is no cure at the moment although work and studies are ongoing for a vaccine. But that's been going on for years and probabley on the back burner because AIDS is more of a problem. Hope this helps a bit. Otherwise DOGPILE it. (Thats a search engine with Google, Ask Jeeves, MSN and Yahoo all together. It's wonderful)

herpes (hur-peez)
A group of related diseases and the viruses that cause them. These diseases are marked by the development of blisterlike sores on the skin or mucous membranes of the body. The herpes virus may invade the mouth region, producing fever blisters or cold sores, or may cause a sexually transmitted disease in which the painful sores appear on the genitals. Chicken pox is another disease caused by a herpes virus.
# After an infection, the virus remains dormant and may return at a later time. Shingles, for example, is a recurrence of the chicken pox virus, and outbreaks of genital herpes recur over time.

they would look like a small blister. yes, they would be flesh colored, but kinda red. yes, they would itch and be very painful. if you have had unprotected sex it is very possible it could be herpes. if you have these spots right now, you should go to the doctor before they go away. it is much easier and more reliable to test for herpes if you are actually broke out.
