I used to have horrible craving when I was pregnant. Big mac was one of them but I had some REALLY weird ones to. I would make my husband walk up and down the isle at the store with the laundry soap in it because I LOVED the smell and I even wanted to eat dirt (I didn't do it tho) when I was about 8 months pregnant.
I've heard that we crave certain foods because our bodies lack a nutrient that it needs but I don't know whether that is true or not.

Joey-you may be 13 and can eat whatever you want, but I was that way until I graduated high school then I started gaining weight. You just wait until you grow out of that stage.
Anyway-to answer your question, of course I've had food cravings that go against my normal diet. I think everybody has! =)

Absolutely! I don't eat hamburgers. I just don't like meat in loafs or patties....But every now and again I'll get a craving for a fresh, hot-off-the-grill hamburger! Sometimes it'll be just as good as I imagine it being...and other times it's just as bad as when I decided I didn't like burgers anymore! The same thing with sodas! Every now and again I'll have a craving for a carbonated beverage even if I've gone months without having one.

Until the last six months, the smell of steak cooking used to make me want to hurl. Then I got the worst craving for steak imaginable and ate it two or three times a week for about two months.
It's tapered off to once or twice a month now. And I still don't understand why the sudden change in tastes.

most everybody does. sometimes you just want the flavor, but sometimes it could be a vitamin or mineral deficiency and your body is craving that food to supply it (though not likely in a big mac, haha), but sometimes it can be a food addiction....like if you start craving something sugary and starchy, and eating it only makes you want more....run far far away from whatever it is, in that case...

I sometimes crave chili-cheese fries. Big Mac attacks are right up there though.

My weakness is Taco Bell. My problem is that I order too much food and end up eating more for breakfast the next morning, it's kind of a double whammy.
