So much is happening with our food these days that it's difficult to say exactly what changes are happening with it. Do fresh fruit and vegetables last longer these days than a few years ago. (Processed meals definitely can last a long time. Some bread is made to last a week, etc). But fresh fruit and vegetables - what about that ? Maybe an older person can know the answer.

I am one of those older persons and I can tell you that the fruit and veg we are getting from the supermarkets these days are cr..p !
I only buy organic because anything else goes off ALL TOGETHER ! You buy a punnet of peaches for example , it says
" Ripen at home " they are rock hard when you get them out of the punnet . The next day they are ROTTEN ALL TOGETHER
It's like black magic !
I got so cross I am ordering my fruit and veg from a local farm delivery service .It is not expensive and the stuff actually lasts .Tastes better too !
Try it ,good luck !!

there is not a lot you may say. Be a chum and provide an ear or shoulder if necessary. they are going to take excitement in what little you've finished by employing you in basic terms being there for them. i do not recognize what it really is like dropping a be sure by employing death. I easily have lost a baby that way regardless of the reality that. there is not something each person has ever stated to fix issues. in basic terms educate some compassion and some recognize-how.

i would say they last longer and i am 59 but i think it is due to the modernized storage ability and the means of transportation they are able to get it to the stores in better shape than years ago and they are growing a lot of hybrid veggies..that is a good question it makes you have to think a little....

yes they do, its not local or seasonal anymore, and the supermarkets store it for months so by the time you buy it it isnt fresh anyway, central heating doesnt help.

Yes i think thats right, they are sprayed with chemicals and insecticides, and they soon go off. I keep mine in the fridge so they are cool, including potatoes they stay fresher there.
