Are organic farmers using different means of irrigation and/or fertalization or is it all the same, with the use of pestisides being the only differencial between the two?

The use of manure to fertilise always carries a risk of e-coli contamination. There is also a risk if contaminated water is used to irrigate. There is also a risk from farm labour (unwashed hands, relieving themselves in the field, etc.).
The risks are approximately the same for organic as for non-organic.

I would think it would be higher, since NO chemicals are used in truly organic produce.
