Because people like it. I don't think KFC is that good though. I'd rather get my fried chicken from other places though like my college (Rutgers) dining hall or a Chinese takeout joint. OK, the dining hall is not as good as my mom's cooking and there are some things there that are truly terrible. But fried chicken is one of the things there that are actually pretty good. I have to admit that I have no idea where my dining hall or takeout joint get their chicken. I never ask either. And really, most people don't try to find out where their favorite restaurants get their meat or other foods. I bet most people who boycotted KFC after they found out about the force-fed meat didn't try to find out if the chicken had hormones. They just waited for the news to spoon feed the facts to them.
I do feel a little two-faced for buying organic foods from the grocery store and yet not bothering to find out if my favorite restaurant food comes from good sources. But alas, it's impossible it have a 100% hormone free diet unless you're rich.
And as for the person who said KFC is better for you than e-coli riddled spinach, that's only true if you don't cook it. Yes, cooked spinach can actually be quite good. Sure you lose some of the vitimans but I think the texture is better that way. My parents make it with this garlic-egg white sauce that's absolutely delicious.

They dont force the chickens to eat that kind of feed... lol. No one is in there opening their beaks and stuffing grain mix down their throats.
Personally I dont know why people at meat that has been grown so rapidly or so poorly.
As it is though, KFC switched meat providers and now buys their slaughtered chickens from a more reputable company. All that PETA info is a few years old.

Because in my country, the UK, said hormones are illegal and meat where hormones were used cannot legally be sold.
Also they don't really care, get over it.
