If you were in good health before this incident, and aren't a smoker I would expect you to feel better in 7-10 days. If you aren't I would contact your doctor.
Many people feel better after even 2-3 days of antibiotics, (which is why they stupidly stop taking them) You have to continue the whole dose.. but you might get some relief in a few days -
In the meanwhile I would take some nyquil for the symptoms. Stay away from the gym until you aren't feeling tired and dragged down so much. Your body needs the extra rest to heal.
If you go to work out you might make it last longer, and you might make other people at the gym sick - they will not thank you for it.

My doc has always told me you need to be on the antibiotic for 24 hours before being around others so you won't spread it . I never heard anything about eating a certain way, except for what feels good going down your throat. And, remember, you need to take the full course of antibiotics to be sure you are over it. Do not throw away even one pill.

It should go away within a couple of days. Whatever you do, don't stop taking your antibiotics!! If you don't finish them up you aren't actually getting rid of the bacteria and next time you catch strep your body will be even more resistant to it and you will need stronger antibiotics.

When it's not too painful to eat solids, eat solids. Your throat will start feeling better in about 3 days. You can start working out whenever you want. Research has shown that excersise can actually help your body recover faster, so long as you don't over do it.

the medicine works different on different ppl but in a few days 2-5 you should start feeling the effects and go back to regular food when its not painful to swollow. as far as the gym give it about 5 days you work up a sweat and you could make yourself sicker and finish all of the medicine till it is gone feeling better does not mean the infection is gone

About 2 days to eat if your case is as severe as it seems to be. REST,REST,REST.It will help. As for going to the gym, that all depends on your body and how good you are at 'bouncing' back. Its only strep. There are worst things out there.

your not contagious in 24hours after starting treatment, you can eat whatever you want, depending on you comfort level, and the gym, i wouldn't raise a sweat and risk a reinfection, also take ALL the antibiotics
