Most premises, upstairs in pubs, rentable evening halls, have licences already, so just book it after telling the owner what you intend doing. No special licence is needed.

Where do you work?!?!
You need to check with your local chamber of commerce. Not sure what it is called in the UK. Your best bet since you can not find out through an internet search is to contact a strip club and ask them where they got their license.
You should also ask if the hall owners allow that sort of thing. They may not. And it would be awful for you to have to cancel after all your work and research.
You could also check with your local police department. They might be able to point you in the right direction.
I hope this helps. Good luck with your fundraiser!!!

Be careful, a local private club wanted to have a fundraiser, they have banquet rooms and a liquor license. They wanted to have male strippers, and hired a nationally famous group. The city counsel responded to complaints from citizens, it seems the club was within so many feet of a church, the presence of strippers there would have violated city ordinance.
Check city ordinances first, before you spend any money.

the licensing laws have relaxed somewhat. however if you are charging an entrance fee, you are putting on a show and it is for public entertainment therefore you will need your local councils permission for this to go ahead in a public building, pub club etc. if it is in a private dwelling it can be done without a public entertainments licence as long as you dont charge.

YOU DON'T NEED ANY SPECIAL PERMISSION TO HIRE A STRIPPER FOR A HEN NIGHT OR THINGS LIKE THAT, SO I DON'T SEE WHY YOU SHOULD.
HAVE FUN AND GOOD LUCK.

I think you will need an entertainment licence, however it may be a good idea to ring your local council.
