I have only tried the Asian kind. i do like it. Still have to try the Spanish kind.

Cuban empanadas, stuffed with picadillo.
There is no such thing as an Asian empanada. Empanada is a spanish word. They are NOT like pies, they are more of a bready pastry.
There may be stuffed asian pastries but they aren't empanadas.

I know this lady (from El Salvador) who makes empanadas stuffed with bananas and tops them with sugar they are amazing!! But I generally like all of the Spanish types. I cannot comment on the Asian ones because I have yet to try them.

The Castile Spaniards began this Empanada corporation.... I unquestionably have tasted all varieties, the Argentine Empanadas are solid, as are the Mexican ones...The Spanish ones are slightly bland, all of it boils right down to the spices, herbs and dipping sauces you utilize. So the ultimate 2 are shown above.....
