Any kind of heart palpitations need to be taken seriously as they are a failure in the heart's electrical system and can lead to blood clots on the brain. What can happen here is when oxiginated blood leaves the second heart pump chamber and heads directly to the brain a "plug" can form and blockage of blood to the brain occur , thus a stroke. A friend of mine has had heart palpitations for years and recently he had a "filter' inserted in the artery from the heart to the brain to assure no clots will reach the brain. This needs to be evaluated by a Cartiologist. Ignoring any sort of palpitatons or Atrial Fibrillation, no matter how small can have serious consequences as ive described above. There are medications available to treat most of the failure in the heart's electrical system so approach this with a positive note. I would not dismiss this as some kind of a thing that occurs when one gets excited or stressed. Certainly that is the wrong thing to do in view of what negitive might happen if untreated.

Go to your doctor. It's quite common for women to have Mitral Valve Prolapse that can cause palpitations. It's easily treated but left untreated can do serious damage to your heart.
My symptoms were palpitations and an accelerated heart beat (150 beats per minute at resting) along with shortness of breath. Lightheaded and dizzy feelings could also be from MVP or low blood pressure as well.

You don't feel heart palpitations in your throat. This sounds more like it is stress and fatigue related. I think you SHOULD see a doctor.
Heart palpitations are more or less felt near your heart, and you can feel that your heart beat is irregular and sometimes painful. You CAN have heart disease at 30 (I was diagnosed at 20, but with a healthy lifestyle, I am doing fine) - but your symptoms sound a LOT more like you are overstressed, not getting enough sleep, and possibly lack exercise and a healthy diet and it has just worn you down.

I'm 29 and have felt alot of the same things. I had my doc do some blood work, and I'm fine. Just out of shape and having panic attacks. Is it worse when you are lying in bed? Or when you think about it?
Heart disease runs in my family too. My dad died from it when he was 47. Do a search at webmd or just google "panic attacks". You'll be amazed.
Get it checked out by your doc, too. Don't feel silly because you're so young. I feel alot bettter since I did.

Wow...sounds scary. Do check with your regular family doctor first...see if he finds anything.
To help your heart and health, be sure you eat very healthy, lots of fruits and veggies, very little dairy or meat, exercise daily lightly
don't drink caffeine, eat no sugars and stay away from wheat or other allergy producing foods. Stay away from over the counter medications too, some allergy tablets will make your heart race. Stay away from colored foods...like cool-aids...those make my heart race too.
But first, go to the doctor. better yet, keep a dairy of what you do, eat and how you fell throughout the day for a couple of days to show your doctor, this will help him see if you are reacting to something or if you indeed have HEART INSUFFICIENCY OR HEART FAILURE.... that needs to be ruled out.

I have had heart problems that have resulted in heart bypass surgery a while ago. The best advice I can give you or anyone with heart problem you described is for you to get to a primary care physician and have a full heart checkout. Your primary care physician will most likely have you see a cardiologist for your heart symptoms. Good Health to you. Go to your doctor soon.

Yes you could certainly have heart disease at 30 years old...
Especially if your family history has it before age 50.
If you feel like that, it sounds to me like Mitral valve Prolapse, or perhaps anemia.
I dno't have all of your history, but it is enough for you to for sure go to the FP and get checked out...
Infact I would go straight to the ER/Cardiologist if your insurance allows.
Worst that can happen..
they say you are fine, and you have a baseline study, and your worries resolved.

To parrot previous postings, get thee to a doctor.
What you're experiencing could possibly be helped by medication. Your doctor may refer you to a cardiologist for a complete cardiac exam, including imaging, and possibly a halter monitor, so they can see how your heart behaves over a 48- hour period.
Based on your decription, you might be diabetic. Have your blood sugar checked. Only your doctor can recommend the right course, but these are my speculations. Good luck.
