I would go with the Indian on the side of the road, who cries at all the trash on the side of the road.
He looks so sad, and he looks like he needs a friend.

Try the following
Pappadams and Bajjias as starter
Main course: Any of the following
Naan bread & Paneer Butter masala (mild)
Vegetable pulao with some raita
If you can tolerate hot food, try Vegetable biriyani with raita
Mango lassi as the drink
Gulaab jamoon or Kulfi for dessert
If the place serves South Indian food, definitely try the Ghee roast (Crispy pancakes - savory) or Masala dosa. They are yummy.

You may order anything as all those friends recommended you, as all are good. But no one recommend you to order Roti....Chapati...Puri...or Pharata. This kind of Indian bread will go along well with all kind of dishes from the Northern till Southern Indian food. My favorite one is the Pharata.

Well my fail safe choice is usually Chicken tikka masala with pilau rice, some Bombay potatoes and naan bread oh and some popadoms with mint chutney and mango chutney to start with. I hope that this sounds good for you. Enjoy your meal whatever you order!

Many variations. What sort of Indian do you prefer. Gujarati, Kashmiri, Tamil? Sikhs are very good, normally tall and manly. Or did you mean Indian food? - Sorry, experience is limited in that field.
