Sometimes Congenital heart disease (CHD) improves with no treatment necessary. At other times the defect is so small and does not require any treatment. Most of the time CHD is serious and requires surgery and/or medications. Medications include diuretics which aid the baby in eliminating water, salts, and digoxin, which aids in strengthening the contraction of the heart. This slows the heartbeat and removes some fluid from tissues. Some defects require surgical procedures to repair as much as possible to restore circulation back to normal. In some cases, multiple surgeries are needed to be performed to help balance the circulation.
Please see the webpages for more details on Congenital heart disease and Congenital heart defect corrective surgery.

I sympathize with whatever baby is involved in this question BUT...why on earth do you ask this menangerie of computer characters a question so important to the life of an infant. Doctors can tell you and be right. Doctors have probably already told you because they would have to be the ones who detected the problem. Surely they didn't say "This child has a large hole in his heart and a twisted aorta, perhaps even more twisted valves, we just thought you should know that. Goodbye now!"
Such questions should be limited to medical professionals in my opinion.

With a twisted valve they may well wait to see how it develops as the baby grows.
