You will have no problems with the angiogram itself assuming you don't have a dye allergy or kidney trouble. The challenge will be with whether or not they can find anything that can be treated. That depends on the vessels that were treated in the past as well as the condition of what you have left to work with. Is it safe to have...yes. Scar tissue? Probably not since it's been 11 years. Hope this helps. Jeff the nurse in Nashville.

I've had 3 in the last year alone, and will probably have more in the future to measure my mean pulmonary arterial BP. The angiogram is only the diagnostic tool, if your blockage is too great for angioplasty to work, then I don't know if time or drugs will have changed that.

Not sure about the scarring issue with a CABG, but I don't think it would be a problem since the catheter is so small for an angiogram.

I had an angiogram 2 weeks in the past after an exceedingly mild heart attack. i might wager she would possibly not sense as much as going out the next day. For me, the insertion internet site (mine became wrist, maximum are groin) became very sore for various days, and it bruised badly, sufficient to be conspicuous in an informal social putting. additionally, I felt drained and many times sick, that could have been via dye, or of direction might have been from the heart attack. you do not say why your spouse is having the angiogram yet i anticipate she's been having some issues, that could save her from bouncing back right now. additionally, what if some stents are placed? that could influence your determination besides. quite, i think of the terrific judgment call right this is to rearrange issues so a strategies as accessible so as which you would be able to pick on the final minute, and then enable your spouse confirm. terrific of success to you the two.
