It could be, but it could also be something else. Make a doctor's appointment and make sure to let them know your symptoms and that your family has a history of diabetes. It is always better to be safe.

Type 2 Diabetes can be controlled with proper diet and exercise, a simple blood test will give you the results. You must remeber from your father and grandfather how much they watched their diet, usually the YMCA have information sessions on this, but first please see your doctor. Type 2 is when your gall bladder, liver, and pancreas cannot properly rid your body of glucose in your blood therefore it crystalises and usually attacks nerves, the extremities(hands and feet) are usually the first to be attacked. Search Diabetes on the net you will find a powerhouse of info, my husband had the disease, he died of liver cancer, my sister died of complications so there is no time to waste, it is more serious then people know. See your doctor and ask to be tested, you may have something totally different then what you expect, and worrying is the worst thing for a diabetic type 2 makes their glucose level rise, you don't want that. Get checked.
If your father has a glucose monitor ask him if he can test your level he should know all about it. The norm is between, 4 and 7, if you are over 10 see your doctor.

it could also be your thyroid, just go get checked! Simple blood tests will answer the question. You can use an at home meter to test if you're curious and waiting for an appointment with a doctor...but don't take it immediately after a meal! Everyone's glucose levels rise after meals. Wait an hour and if it's over 140 you really should see a doc asap. You should also keep in mind that a meter is allowed a 20%+/- error rate, so your blood sugar could up to 20% higher or lower than what you're getting...that's why you MUST see a doctor for proper testing. they should do either a fasting or glucose tolerance test. GTT means you'll drink a sugary drink after fasting and they'll test your blood a couple of times to see how fast your blood sugar corrects itself. Good luck!

A simple glucose test can tell you for sure- if you know anyone who is ask them to test you. Your doctor can do a quick test and if you absolutely have to know- walgreens/cvs sells a disposable BG system with strips for about 30 bucks.
Any blood suagr reading over 200 test again in 30 min intervals.
Normal BG in the morning before breakfast should be between 70-120- any higher you should call your physician for a formal glucose fasting test.

Make an appointment with your physician ASAP! Have them run a test called H1AC. It check your hemoglobin and "averages" the glucose levels for the past 2 or 3 months. Diabetes is nothing to play with!

All what you mentioned leads to diabetes, so why wait till it gets worse. Go now to a Doc and get examined and tested to know and get a treatment. This will be a lifetime process if you are friends with your diabetes you are OK otherwise dont complain

Try a vegan diet. Recent research shows the vegan diet will reverse type II diabetes. See http://www.vegetarianorganiclife.com/ and http://www.newstarget.com/019785.html I also believe the vegan diet will substantially help prevent the secondary complications of type-2 diabetes.

you should be checked every 6 months for diabetes even if you had no symptoms. It certainly does seem like you are symptomatic for diabetes, as those are all symptoms. See your doctor ASAP. You need to be on a diabetic diet, may need medication, and it may save your life to go now.
