Actually, if less people ate meat, there would be less demand for it and, eventually, there would be less processing of it. Therefor, it wouldn't go to waste. What do animals eat? Grains and veggies. Cows eat a whole lot more than people do. So you are actually wasting more crops by eating meat than if you were a vegetarian. Vegetarians cut out the middle man (or cow so to speak) and just eat the crops. We are saving the environment and hundreds on innocent lives a year. Do your research before you spout things that aren't true. Besides, Einstein was a vegetarian. We can't help it if we are more intelligent.

Trees? Some people don't eat meat, not because they care for the animals, but because they feel that it's healthier to stay away from meat. A vegetarian could care less about animals, just because they're vegan, doesn't necessarily mean they care about animals.

I used to be a vegetation. I believe that the reason I was a vegetarian was because I lived on a farm with many chickens, cows, pigs, sheep, guinea pigs, etc. Myself and my family had names for all of our farm animals. I didn't want to eat meat, because i felt like i was killing and eating the friends of my own pets. The "good use"of animals never crossed my mind once while I was a vegetarian.

Good use...Trees take a long time to rot and animals don't rot if you don't kill them and stop producing fresh ones in factories. Clearly not everyone benefits from your supreme intelligence, ethics and common sense. Oh well, they just don't know better.

Not all vegetarians are anti-meat. Some people are vegetarians strictly for diet and health. My grandma is a vegetarian and loves animals and cooks meat for family, so, don't go getting mad at vegetarians for eating the way they want.

What the.... "put it to good use"?? The vegetarians who think it's morally wrong to kill animals aren't going to put animal carcasses to "good use" just like we don't put human carcasses to good use. The point is, DON'T KILL THEM! If you don't buy meat, there won't be as much of a demand anymore. The rainforest is being mowed down to provide land to beef and poultry farmers - and it mostly all goes to the North American market! Do you put your cats and dogs to good use when they die? Do you pick up roadkill for supper?

no no no!!! wuts wrong with not eating meat? they dont want to eat meat because they dont like the thought of putting dead flesh into your body. the body is a temple and should be treated with respect, and should not be stuffed with dead flesh of a poor little helpless, defenseless animal. these animals are treated very badly before their death. and what does being a vegetarian have to do with trees?! my whole family is vegetarian. eating meat is a bit like putting death into your body. if u want to eat meat then fine no ones stopping u.

Miscategorized. You're in "Vegetarian & Vegan," not "I'm a Moron and I'll Prove It."
There are plenty of other animals that are carnivorous. We don't have to eat them.
