Like one of them said,there's no Singapore-style food. The owner is probably Singaporean tho'.
By the way,what is Mei Fun? I've lived in Singapore for more than 30yrs and I have not heard or saw.
The closest to the spelling I could think of is "Mui Fun". It's fried or steamed rice soaked in blended sauce.A traditional Cantonese cuisine if I am not wrong because the pronounciation of "Mui Fun" is from the dialect.
The other is "Mei Cai", which is in Mandarin, meaning fermented vegetables.Not too clear about it's origin,but the old way of making it involved fermenting the vegetables in urns and stirring them for days over controlled flame burning on charcoals. Should be Teochew.....
So,when you said rice noodle,I'm confused. But,whatever it is,I can guarantee you they are fattening. Period.

Those noodles are always cooked with a certain amount of oil. And the meat can be fattening. But if you make that the biggest meal you eat in the day, then you should be fine.

Erm... first of all, there is no such thing as "Singapore style" because Singapore doesn't have food items as its own. The foods here are actually brought down by many cultures and they settled down here. But anyway, I have eaten Mei Fun and I did not get fat but there should always be a limit to everything you eat, you see.

Both are good for you, each fruit/vegetable has different vitamins. Therefore as more variety, as better. Vegetables have generally less sugar than fruits.

Everything eaten in moderation is just fine. If you are concerned about the calories then only eat half the portion. Chinese restaurants usually don't like to make substitutions.
