Tree sap will work very nicely on my pancakes.
We are omnivores, we can eat primarily meat, we can eat primarily veggies, but we usually need a bit of both. There are vegetarian diets that need careful monitoring FOR SOME PEOPLE, because their bodies require certain amino acid complexes that rarely are found in plants. It can be done, but for some people it isn't easy.
In nature the vegetarian animals, herbivores, must spend most of their time eating, which is why you seldom see a slack-jawed cow for very long. In nature, carnivores can sometimes go for days without eating and then after they eat they sleep a lot. Vegans like to point to that (meat) as the source of human sloth. In nature that is a good thing, it gives the rest of the herd, flock, whatever a break as their old, sick, or unprotected young are culled from the group by the predetors.
Some of your symptoms, seriously, are more from appetite and unbalanced diet, and eating habits (low-meat diets require, see herbivore above, more frequent eating).
BTW: while most of the links are for vegetarians, I am not one. I don't eat red-meat though, it has to be cooked black or brown (well done).

I'm sorry but you're ignorant. I've been a vegetarian for 17 years and I don't crave blood/meat. And why is the alternative tree sap? If you knew ANYTHING about natural science you'd know that we get most of our energy from plants. Carbs and sugar provide engery. Protein only repairs and builds muscle, and you can get it from wheat, legumes and all sorts of plant sources. Here's a Taoist page that expains some of it. http://taosculture.org/English/Health/vege.htm

Hmmm, I crave cookies, does that mean it's an essential part of my diet? Oh, no, It just means I have developed a taste for it and/or am addicted. Maybe you are tired and weak without meat because the rest of your diet is made of white flour, processed foods and not enough nourishing sustenance.

If you look at what you typically eat for dinner, you'll probably find some things that a vegetarian can eat. Of course you'll feel tired and weak if you only eat vegetables. Vegetarians need to pay attention to how much protein, iron, and vitamins they get.
For some the transition from omnivore to herbivore is more difficult. It may help to make the change gradually.

I've been eating well without meat (and without even once craving meat) for 27 years! My cholesterol is good, and I have plenty of energy. The weakness you're complaining about is mental. If you think you're depriving yourself, you'll feel awful. If you think of it as being free of meat, then it's very empowering, and you'll feel great. It sounds like you are not mentally ready to make the switch, so why are you doing it?

I've been a vegetarian for half of my life now, and I don't miss eating meat at all. I never crave it. I hear all the time from people who say they could never be a vegetarian, and that's fine. But that's the choice I made, and you made the choice to eat meat.
Can't we all just get along? ;-)

Why are you making such a big deal about this when you're not a vegetarian or open to becoming one? One's preference for certain food is a personal and individual choice. It's a lifestyle. And since it's America, people can afford these choices. In other words, you're not obligated to follow someone else's practices and they're not obligated to follow yours.
Bottom line, be yourself and mind your business, especially when a stranger's eating habits have no direct effect on you.
