If your just getting blood work for your medications then no that is all they will be checking for. If you tell your doctor ahead of time they can draw extra blood and run other tests he thinks may be necessary.

And please use protection from now on and you won't have to worry about this again.

There are many blood tests and each measures different values. So a test for blood sugar or blood urea nitrogen have nothing in common with STD. White Blood cell counts will show some increase in the body's response to an infection but will not diagnose AIDS. We use specific tests for specific problems or by symptoms or history. I am a physician.

std's are never checked unless your dr orders it they just dont pop up in the blood test and if your white blood count is low or red is too high the dr is going to question this and get to the bottom of why you have an infection and what you been doing the last time he saw you

well, in order for them to check for an std, there would (but not always) be an increase in certain blood lab results.

like hcv (hepatitis c) which is not a true STD, however, if you run a standard blood lab, sometimes the ALT and AST levels are not elevated as a natural occurance to the virus.

if your worried, i'd have them run a blood lab for std's to be sure.

why don't you just go get an std profile instead of wondering if you have something dummy!
