I think you could find toxins in any type of food if they got there by some accident or if someone put them in on purpose but why would "exotic" food, whatever that means, have more?

"Exotic" simply means non-local. You do not specify where you are! If you are in Iowa, perhaps burritos or sushi are "exotic". If you are in New Zealand, or Mexico, or Bangladesh, you almost certainly consider "Hot Pockets" & "Kentucky Fried Chicken" to be "exotic" dishes. Toxins in food have nothing to do with country of origin, and everything to do with ingredients and preparation.

Exotic sushi scares me, but other exotic foods can be as safe as any other foods.
