Go to a health store like Holland & Barrett or somewhere and buy some LYSINE tablets.
When you feel the coldsore starting (the tingling), then immediately take 5 x 500mg tablets every day for 5 days.
I used to get cold sores every couple of months or so, but since the first time I took lysine tablets for an attack I only get them once a year, if that.
The lysine stops them from even appearing if you take it at the first sign of tingling, unlike Zovirax cream where you still get the nasty blister for a week or so.
