Yes, there is a test for women, but there is currently no test for men.

A women can have a physical exam for warts and a pap smear done to see an abnormal growth on the cervix which can lead to cervical cancer (the second most common type of cancer in women).

For men, the only thing they can do is have a physical examination for any warts present. Men usually find out they have HPV by developing warts, or by finding out their girlfriend or wife has contracted HPV. Warts can take several months and even years to appear though. Since there is no test for men, most don't realize they have the virus and end up accidentally passing it on to their girlfriends or wife.

Since it appears you are a male, from what I understand there is no test. If you have warts a doctor can diagnose it after looking at the warts. I don't believe that there is a blood test for this. I could be wrong though.

Yes. With a pap smear a clinician or doctor can see if you have HPV.

My friend has it, and she only found out by getting a cervical scrape when there were abnormal cells that showed up on a routine PAP smear.
