Hi,
I think you will like it.
I have some Egyptian friends, too, and I know that they are very good in preparing rabbit. As the other people have already told you; it tastes a bit like chicken - mild and really good.
I do not know how your friends are going to prepare it, but usually it comes with a vegetable which is something like the national veggie in Egypt. It is called Mulukieh. It is spinachlike, very, ery tasty

Go for it. Rabbit has a texture much like turkey. The taste will vary with the recipe.

Someone told me that rabbit is fast food and that you have to eat it quickly or its flavor will get away from you.

I think that person was kidding me but I noticed that he had a rabbit's food on his watch chain so I assumed he knew what he was talking about.

I don't know how the Egyptians eat it, but we have made it alot at our house. It is really good with brown gravy. The closest that it taste like is chicken but richer.

Rabbit, if well prepared, is delicious. It is similar in texture to chicken.
I have 3 different recipes, one spanish, one french and one belgian...But I have no idea as to how the egyptians cook it...
Let me know if it tastes good (get their recipe and I'll trade recipes with you!)

We used to eat deep fried rabbit when we lived in California's Central Valley. It is better than fried chicken, I think.

I hear it's so good. I've always wanted to try rabbit.
I think I should get a CCW permit just so I can always be prepared the very MOMENT I see a rabbit...

Hope it wasnt their pet rabbit... anyways asnwering your question, rabbit tastes very mild, you could say it tastes like 'chicken' very soft meat too.

I wonder how he is fixing it? Rabbit has a delicious flavor, I don't think so much like chicken, though. If you like it, get the recipe and share it!!
