it is the durian fruit - hands down.

This foul smelling fruit is in a large pod that has to be hacked open to get to the fleshy pulp.

The real irony is is that it is also one of the tastiest fruits on the planet - people become addicted to the stuff, trust me .

Every airline in the world refuses to cargo the stuff as it literally takes months to remove the foul stench.... and therefore south east asia is the only place where you will find this stuff.

Gotta be tasted though.....

There are two fruits that have very strong smells. The durian and another one like a pear - can't think of the name right now,
sorry :(.

DURIAN. They are not only nutrivtively void, but they actually smell like crap. In parts of Asia, and the Middle East, there are bans on selling them, or eating them in places like subways, or open bazaars.

Durian tastes good if you like month old jackfruit in which alll the starch has degraded to simple sugars. Eww

Durians will take the first place and papayas coming in second with a slim difference.

Its durian. But its tastes heavenly. One trick in eating this fruit is to cover your nose.

Papaya. I hate that stuff...it smells bad, tastes bad, but is supposed to be loaded with fiber.

Bleh.
