Insulin injections are imperative for the Type 1 diabetic. Without them you will soon become very ill, and may reach the stage where you enter a coma and die. I have no wish to scare you, but please do not stop taking your insulin even though your sugar levels have come down. It's precisely because you have been taking insulin that this has happened.

Without insulin your blood sugar levels would rise. With a continued high blood sugar level, you are more likely to develop complications. Believe me, I know. I've only been diabetic for a little over 26 years, but I have many complications, and am a shadow of my former self.

I wish you the very best of luck in doing the right thing for yourself.

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.

I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

There have been some good answers here.
I can only stress the fact that you should follow your doctor's orders and take your insulin as directed. Do not play around with it. Diabetes can cause death, blindness, loss of limbs, etc...if not treated correctly.
Proper diet is also a must along with insulin. Your doctor can give you a diet from the American Diabetic Association to follow, and you will be surprised at how well it works for keeping your blood sugar levels under control.

Since it sounds like you are a newly diagnosed diabetic, once you and your doctor have gotten your insulin etc under control, because of you age 20 you should look into the Insulin Pump. It really does make a difference on how you live your life day by day. It's obviously not going to make your diabeties go away and you still HAVE to check you blood sugar, but it is worth it. Good Luck

For Type 1, Insulin is proper. With Type 1 Diabetes, your body does not produce insulin. Right now your question for the doctor should be what kind and how much. Don't forget to check your glucose levels frequently.

Sounds like you have type I diabetes, also improperly referred to as juvenile diabetes, because 90% of those developing the disease do so before they are 25. Type I diabetes is caused by a malfunctioning pancreas that can no longer be depended on to create its own insulin. Artificial insulin and blood glucose monitoring is the proper treatment for type I diabetes. To minimize your need for added insulin, you should increase and maintain physical exercise. Good luck, your health is in your hands.

490 is way too high, it can cause organ damage if it stays there too long.. but don't go too low! because that can put you in the hospital even faster than high blood sugar. you have type 1 so you just struck out on the genetic lotery, sorry :( but life goes on and you will be fine, just keep your blood sugar constant! look up the Glycemic Index. some foods shoot blood sugar up and some bring it up slowly.. it will be much easier for you to keep a level blood sugar if you focus on LOW GI foods. follow your doctors plan man, your body depends on it.

That is correct. My grandmother has had it for a long time and had to give herself insulin shots daily. My dad introduced her to a program and she has been on it for 2 months or so and now she doesnt take insulins shots. She now takes diabetic pills. This is something really big cuz she had been taking the shots since I was a child. If you would like to know more send me an email www.khoward.tsfl@yahoo.com
