A big band would be great. An evening of Frank & those oldies are great....I think for many ages to enjoy. I have been to so many company dinners and it is like going to a wedding well a boring wedding. You sit at a table with a bunch of people (some could care less if they are there or not) and yes it is good to meet new people but your whole table of 10 or however many are there have all got to want to meet new people or you are talking to yourself. I think a Strolling Dinner is great. There are still tables and you can sit where you want with whom you want. You can walk and mingle, stroll the food stations and dance. If you can do some cool food stations that aren't the typical "Company Dinner" Fare (you know - salad, roast beast, potatoes, green beans) Do a Cesar Salad station with different choices - maybe grilled chicken and grilled salmon, parm and great crutons- Do a Pasta station that may have a couple different sauces but only one pasta. Have bowls of grilled chicken, olives, artichoke hearts, cheese. Even a mashed potato section where you have all the fixings to put on the potato. Make it fun and different. I don't think it would really cost anymore than the regular boring buffet or roast beast dinner. I would perfer the big band because it is different and fun. I am a female and just 40 =) Good luck and have a great time planning!

Peronally, I think company D&D needs entertainment likemagic show, maybe some of the staff wants to sing and some games for the participant to take part. The most important thing in the D&D is to let every employees to relax and enjoy, so the food must be good.
