Hmmm...
Well you probably have a very lean diet, so you wouldn't want anything very fatty, as it is the fat that can be harsh on your system, not so much the meat. No McDonalds, no KFC... that might make your stomache a bit upset.
I'd suggest a little chicken, maybe in a casarole, or breaded and baked. Or fish... fish is really good for you, has a lot of vitemins and good fats for your body, and it isn't very heavy on the stomache.
I can't say that going to a BBQ and just having a thick slice of steak slathered in bbq sauce won't hurt you, but the most it would do is give you a heavy feeling in your stomache, maybe slow your digestion just a bit.
My husbands family is mostly vegetarian, and they all eat chicken or other meat on occation... hasn't hurt them yet. But my mother in law has issues with the protiens in meat... they cause her to have an upset stomache. So start slow, and see what you like. But do youself a favor and leave the fast food for last.

If you go too fast you could have some trouble... As long as you add gradually you'll be fine... Best bet is to start with fish for easy digestion. Then move on to ground chicken and turkey (the ground meat will be easier to digest while your stomach acid adjusts). Next do whole pieces of chicken and turkey... Do the same with pork, beef, mutton, etc... Ground first then whole... Make sure you eat yogurt as acidophilous will keep your stomach healthy. Don't drink more than 4 ounces of liquid with any meal as it can thin out stomach acid... You should be fine! Enjoy your food but never forget to give thanks for the life given to feed you...

Maybe fish or chicken. Fish is soft and flaky and would be easy to digest and tastes very good not to mention the nutritional value it brings. Lowers cholesterol, many benefits read about it. Fish, Berry's, nuts & chees are all any one would ever need. Then chicken breast, boiled or grilled. It is also easy on the stomach. Pork is good but not for everybody, if it is cooked right its very tasty. The last thing I would do is beef. It's harder to digest, but when you finally do get to the beef your gonna love it. It is so wonderful, just have to chew it longer but you won't mind. Please get a good steak the first time like a rib-eye or prime rib or you might think you don't like it if its a tough cut. You are entering a whole new world! Meat is very addicting and satisfying!

You might not have developed the proper enzymes for digesting meat products. I know that when someone starts out eating all foods, then becomes a vegetarian, they will lose the ability to digest meat. Your best bet is to consult a dietitian before you make a major diet change like this.

It's a good posibility that meat would upset your stomach and digestive tract. Any time you switch abruptly from one type of food to another, it may happen.
Maybe you ought to stick with something fairly bland at first -- baked or boiled chicken, mild fish, or lightly seasoned ground beef. I'd definitely wait for my system to adjust before I started chowing down on rib eye steaks and roasts.

you may develop gerd.
you'll also get an increase in heart rate, headache, digestional pains.
it depends. that's a very long time to go without meat.
why are you going to meat? most of it's got hormones in it, chemicals and the meat isn't that good, espeically when the animal is massed like they're in a factory and not treated all that great and that taints the texture and flavor.
bring the maalox and some asprin.

I would start out by perhaps adding some broth and small amounts of tiny white turkey pieces, since that's rather bland, and has even less fat than chicken... perhaps mixed in with some pasta or soup. Then slowly gradually add more as I went along.
FYI: regarding turkey and chicken... white meat has less fat than the dark meat does.

if you're worried about digestion problems, start of with chicken broth, then go to beff broth. Then in about 2 weeks of that try a little bit of chicken maybe only a bite or 2 then add more as the week continues then try beef in small portions...etc

I would make an appointment with your doctor to discuss this. He or she could probably put a lot of your concerns to rest. Also, if you do get an upset stomach, he or she can tell you how to handle that as well. For an issue like this, information is probably best if it comes from your doctor.

start with an easily digestible protein source, like egg whites, fish, or chicken.
or at least drink a soup made from it. egg drop soup, chicken soup.
then take some time adjusting to those kinds of meat before you go graduate on to red meat.
