Since Mauritian food has a mixture of French, Indian and Chinese influences, too many restaurants claim to serve authentic Mauritian food. The Maraputhra must be a well kept secret as I can't find any information about it.
Since you're Mauritian, I'm sure you could prepare some traditional meals yourself (always a good idea when far from home):

Or if you're having a party, have the food delivered:

I don't know of any good Mauritian restaurants in East London but I can recommend Paradise Island (far away in Croydon but nearer than Mauritius!):

A dholl puri with a glass of Alouda or tamarind juice reminds me of the taste of real Mauritian food.
