Please follow what the doctor says. It is not how high the levels but how long they are high. Are they always high??? Do they go up and down???? Yes you can go into a diabetic coma from too high levels or too low levels. Please consult a Doctor Asap.

only your doctor can determine if you have to be on insulin or not. Some people have different effects from extremely high sugar levels; some have your symptoms others will pass out and go into a diabetic coma. Follow your doctors instructions (a hugh must), and if you feel your sugar level is too high, drink lots of water. Also, believe or not, it works for my mother, who is a diabetic herself, drink black coffee, no sugar or artificial sweetners. That also will bring it down.

Yes, you can pass out if your sugar levels go over 300. If you can't get your sugar levels down with diet and medicine, then contact your doctor. The doctor can do some tests to check your blood sugar and prescribe the best insulin for you.

i believe that a normal sugar level should be like 80 or 90. One time mine was 300!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They stuck me in ICU for 3 days!!!! I had a high fever (i also had a urinary tract infection) but i think the reason why it was so high was from drinking, drinking LIQUIOR....like vodka for a few days that i normally don't do........anyway, i am borderline diabetic but they thought i was a full blown diabetic so they put me on insulin but that ended up making my sugar too low so i just got off of it (my Dad knows b/c HE IS FULL BLOWN) and i've been pretty much ok, i just have to watch what i eat and not too much alcohol. I test myself every 2 or 3 days........

Your doctor gives you strict instructions on what to do. Follow it.
Yes you can get into a coma if you don't have enough insulin in your body.
